What is available in the October 2008 update? |

This latest release includes six new documents, including Two New Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Agreements that adds to the IPD Single Purpose Entity (SPE) family of AIA Contract Documents.
A New Building Information Modeling (BIM) Protocol Exhibit is a hands-on, practical tool for using BIM across a project. This document is not available in a paper format.
Two Additional Design Build (DB) Agreements that complete the AIA’s Design-Build family of documents, adding subcontractors and consultants.
An On-Site Project Representation Document that adds to the over 30 existing documents available in the B-Series.

How are current software users notified of new updates and software releases? |

The AIA sends all current users a notice via e-mail with detailed instructions on how to update the latest version of the software each time a new update becomes available. Additionally, all future renewal notices will be amended to provide notice of the Update. Finally, the AIA Web site will provide details on the Update. Who should download the updated version? |

All users who have earlier versions of AIA software, e.g., versions 3.4 and earlier, should download and install the 3.5 update to obtain the new documents and any software enhancements. |

Is there a price increase for the October 2008 update? |

No. The update is available to current users at no extra charge and there is no software price increase for new customers. The updated software will also not alter the period of time, or the number of document units remaining on existing licenses. |
